Banquet/Night Out

The COMP 2014 night out was held at Brewster's Mountview Barbecue facility on the evening of Friday, July 11, 2014. This western-themed venue, set in the heart of the mountains about ten minutes from downtown Banff and The Banff Centre, offered a memorable evening of food, music, and entertainment.

Buses departed from The Banff Centre at 6:15 pm to transport delegates to the venue.

Entertainment

The evening featured a full lineup of western-themed activities:

  • Live band and line dancing instruction
  • Cowboy lawn bowling
  • Birds of prey exhibit

The Highlights session award — judged from the top six abstracts presented during the scientific program — was announced at the Banquet on Friday evening.
